We have commissioned a company to recreate our web presence, for now please use our learning platform for up to date information about what's going on at Birley including:

• School Opening
• Examination Times
• Trips

The College is part of a Federation with Birley Community Primary School one of our feeder Primary Schools.                   

Our shared vision for the ‘Federation’ is to create a single learning community and thereby significantly improve educational opportunities and outcomes, not only in Birley, but also the wider local area served by the two schools. We continue to have a close relationship with the other Primary Schools that feed into the College and together we are all seeking to enrich the ‘Learning Journeys’ of  students in our care.

The wider Federation will provide a fresh, vibrant identity to educational provision in the south east area of Sheffield by bringing together cross phase teaching and other expertise/specialism. As a result learners of all ages will be enabled to raise their standards of achievement.

Inspection update

We are pleased to report that the Ofsted inspection which took place on the 1st and 2nd February 2010 has awarded the College a solid “GOOD”.

The official report will be available as soon as we receive it.

Welcome to the Birley Community College website. It is intended to give anyone viewing the site a ‘flavour’ of what learning is like for students in our school.
